The Commerce Department issued its final determinations that imports of corrosion-resistant and cold-rolled steel from Vietnam are circumventing antidumping and countervailing duty orders on corrosion-resistant steel from South Korea and Taiwan (A-580-878/C-580-879, A-583-856) and cold-rolled steel from South Korea (A-580-881/C-580-882).
The Commerce Department issued the final results of the antidumping duty administrative review on silicon metal from China (A-570-806). Commerce found the only company under review, Yunnan Fuyang Trade Co., Ltd., did not have any shipments to the U.S. during the period of review, so its AD duty rate will not change. Any entries under Fuyang's case number during the period June 1, 2017, through May 31, 2018, will be assessed AD duties at the 139.49% China-wide rate.
The Commerce Department issued the final results of the antidumping duty administrative review on activated carbon from China (A-570-904). These final results will be used to set final assessments of AD duties on importers for subject merchandise entered April 1, 2017, through March 31, 2018.
The Commerce Department issued the final results of the antidumping duty administrative review on 1-hydroxyethylidene-1, 1-diphosphonic Acid (HEDP) from China (A-570-045). Commerce calculated an AD rate of 397.2% for the only company under review, Henan Qingshuiyuan Technology Co., Ltd. Commerce will assess AD duties at importer-specifc rates on subject merchandise from Qingshuiyuan entered Nov. 4, 2016, through April 30, 2018. A 397.2% AD duty cash deposit rate for Qingshuiyuan takes effect Dec. 12.
The Commerce Department issued the final results of the antidumping duty administrative review on xanthan gum from China (A-570-985). These final results will be used to set final assessments of AD duties on importers for subject merchandise entered July 1, 2017, through June 30, 2018.
The Commerce Department issued the final results of the antidumping duty administrative review on freshwater crawfish tail meat from China (A-570-848). These final results will only be used to set final assessments of AD duties on importers for subject merchandise entered Sept. 1, 2017, through Aug. 31, 2018. Cash deposit requirements are no longer in effect for freshwater crawfish tail meat from China as a result of Commerce's revocation of the AD duty order in June, effective for entries on or after May 16, 2019 (see 1906060014).
The Commerce Department issued the final results of its countervailing duty administrative review on crystalline silicon photovoltaic products from China (C-570-011). The agency calculated new CV duty cash deposit rates for 10 Chinese exporters. These final results will be used to set final assessments of CV duties on importers for subject merchandise entered Jan. 1, 2017, through Dec. 31, 2017.
The Commerce Department issued the final results of the antidumping duty administrative review on hydrofluorocarbon blends from China (A-570-028). Commerce found the only company under review, Weitron International Refrigeration Equipment (Kunshan) Co., Ltd., did not have any shipments to the U.S. during the period of review, so its AD duty rate will not change. Any entries under Weitron's case number during the period Aug. 1, 2017, through July 31, 2018, will be assessed AD duties at the 216.37% China-wide rate.
The Commerce Department issued the final results of the antidumping duty administrative review on aluminum extrusions from China (A-570-967). Commerce found all 26 companies with shipments under review did not demonstrate independence from state control, assigning them the China-wide AD duty rate of 86.01%. Commerce will assess AD duties at this rate on subject merchandise from these 26 companies between May 1, 2017, and April 30, 2018. An 86.01% AD duty cash deposit rate for these 26 companies takes effect for each company on July 27.
The Commerce Department issued the final results of the antidumping duty administrative review on polyethylene retail carrier bags from China (A-570-886). Commerce found the only company remaining under review -- High Den Enterprises Ltd. -- did not demonstrate independence from state control, assigning it the China-wide AD duty rate of 77.57%. Commerce will assess AD duties at this rate on subject merchandise from High Den entered Aug. 1, 2017, through July 31, 2018. A 77.57% AD duty cash deposit rate for High Den takes effect Oct. 1.
