The Commerce Department released the preliminary results of its antidumping duty administrative review on polyethylene terephthalate film, sheet and strip from Taiwan (A-583-837), calculating a zero percent AD rate for Nan Ya Plastics Corp. If the agency's finding is continued in the final results, importers of subject merchandise from Nan Ya entered between July 1, 2020, and June 30, 2021, will not be assessed AD duties, and future entries from Nan Ya would not be subject to an AD cash deposit requirement until further notice.
The Commerce Department issued the final results of the antidumping duty administrative review on crystalline silicon photovoltaic cells from China (A-570-979). These final results will be used to set final assessments of AD duties on importers for subject merchandise entered Dec. 1, 2019, through Nov. 30, 2020.

The International Trade Commission has initiated a Section 337 investigation on imported golf club shaft and golf club head connection adaptors, certain components thereof, and products containing the same, it said in a notice. The investigation follows a May 19 complaint by Club-Conex, which alleged that Top Golf Equipment imports and sells shaft and head connection adapters that infringe on two Club-Conex patents covering connection adapters, used to "quickly and easily, but reversibly, assemble a golf club shaft with a golf club head" for "bespoke golf club fitting services." Equipment resellers use the adapters to fit customers for a customized set of golf clubs by allowing various combinations of club shafts and club heads (see 2205250013). Club-Conex is asking the ITC for a permanent limited exclusion order and a permanent cease and desist order against Top Golf.
