The International Trade Administration has issued a countervailing duty order on multilayered wood flooring from China (C-570-971). The order reflects a "gap period" of August 4 - December 6, 2011 of no CV duty liabilty due to the expiration of the provisional measures period. This order is effective December 7, 2011, and is expected to be implemented by U.S. Customs and Border Protection soon.
The International Trade Administration has issued an amended final determination and antidumping duty order on multilayered wood flooring from China (A-570-970), which among other things amends the rates for 90 respondents. The order also details a "gap period" of November 23 - December 6 of no AD duty liability due to the expiration of the provisional measures period. This order is effective December 7, 2011, and is expected to be implemented by U.S. Customs and Border Protection soon.

The International Trade Commission has received a patent complaint filed on behalf of Bracewell & Giuliani on Freescale Semiconductor, Inc., which alleges violations of Section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930 in the importation into the U.S., the sale for importation, and the sale within the U.S. after importation of certain integrated circuits (IC), chipsets, and products containing same including televisions. The next step is for the ITC to vote on whether to institute a patent investigation that could result in various settlement agreements with the named respondents and/or an exclusion order and/or a cease and desist order.

The International Trade Administration has issued the preliminary results of an antidumping duty administrative review on diamond sawblades and parts thereof from Korea (A-580-855) for three exporters/manufacturers. These preliminary results are not in effect, may change in the final results, and could affect the estimated AD cash deposit rate for these companies.

Based on affirmative final determinations by the International Trade Administration and the International Trade Commission, the ITA is issuing both an antidumping duty order (A-570-970) and a countervailing duty order (C-570-971) on multilayered wood flooring from China. The International Trade Commission has announced that it is considering the effect a limited exclusion order and/or cease and desist orders against certain video game systems and controllers (Nintendo Wii Game Systems, 337-TA-743) would have upon the public welfare, competition conditions in the U.S., and U.S. consumers, in light of a November 2 Administrative Law Judge recommended determination on remedy and bonding.
