ITC Receives IC/Chipset Patent Complaint Against Sanyo, Vizio, Etc.
The International Trade Commission has received a patent complaint filed on behalf of Bracewell & Giuliani on Freescale Semiconductor, Inc., which alleges violations of Section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930 in the importation into the U.S., the sale for importation, and the sale within the U.S. after importation of certain integrated circuits (IC), chipsets, and products containing same including televisions. The next step is for the ITC to vote on whether to institute a patent investigation that could result in various settlement agreements with the named respondents and/or an exclusion order and/or a cease and desist order.

- AOC International (USA) Ltd. of Fremont, CA;
- Envision Peripherals, Inc. of Fremont, CA;
- Amtran Technology Co., Ltd. of Taiwan; and
- Amtran Logistics, Inc. of Irvine, CA.
