On March 15, 2006, the House of Representatives passed H.R. 4944, the Miscellaneous Trade and Technical Corrections Act of 2006. After being passed by the House, H.R. 4944 now goes to the Senate. U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has posted to its Web site a notice announcing the tariff-rate quota (TRQ) for peanuts that are provided for in HTS Chapter 12, Additional U.S. Note (AUSN) 2 and entered under HTS 1202.10.4020, 1202.10.4040, 1202.20.4020, 1202.20.4040, 2008.11.2500, and 2008.11.4500 during the April 1, 2006 through March 31, 2007 period.

CBP has posted a presentation that provides information on the Periodic Monthly Statement (PMS), a feature of its Automated Commercial Environment (ACE). According to CBP, this presentation was developed for members of the trade community to utilize in their presentations to other members of the trade community as part of the ACE and PMS outreach effort. CBP has issued its weekly tariff rate quota (TRQ) commodity report as of February 27, 2006.
