U.S. Customs and Border Protection has issued an updated version of its fact sheet on ACE Entry Summary, Accounts, and Revenue (ESAR) at-a-glance, which provides information on new and future ACE ESAR portal features. Such features reduce paper and streamline processes for CBP and the trade community etc.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection has issued an updated version of its fact sheet on Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) periodic monthly statements (PMS). CBP states PMS simplify the processing of duties and fees for importers and brokers with ACE accounts.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection has listed the types of suggestions it received from the trade community on the 2009-2013 Trade Strategy CBP discussed at the April 2011 Trade Symposium. Eliminating textiles as a Priority Trade Issue (PTI); communicating realistic timelines for shared projects such as ACE; focusing on port consistency; and capturing subject matter expertise at the right locations, were some of the types of suggestions made.

CBP has posted a 2011 version of its Record of Changes in ANSI X.12 and UN EDIFACT. According to the Change Record, CBP made the following modifications to the ACE EDI messages for e-Manifest: Truck, effective May 16, 2011:

CBP has posted an updated version (version 3.2) of its ACE Entry Summary Business Rules and Process Document. This document has been updated to provide guidance concerning the Post Summary Correction (PSC) process.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection has updated its notification of policies for all approved bond submissions to state that effective June 1, 2011, the Revenue Division will discontinue automatically mailing copies of approved bond submissions to the bond principal(s) via U.S. postal mail. CBP states that principals can either request approved submissions by email or use the ACE Portal to confirm bond approval.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection has announced that user testing for ACE e-Manifest: Ocean and Rail (M1) began in early May. CBP is conducting the testing with certain members of the trade community and hopes to begin the rollout of the M1 pilot later this year.

A U.S. Customs and Border Protection official announced at recent meeting that the deployment of Post Summary Correction (PSC) functionality is expected in early June, with a tentative deployment date of June 4, 2011.
