The International Trade Commission is publishing notices in the November 3, 2011 Federal Register on the following AD/CV injury, Section 337 patent, and other trade proceedings (any notices that warrant a more detailed summary will appear in another ITT article):
The International Trade Commission has voted to institute a section 337 patent-based investigation of certain integrated solar power systems and components thereof. The products at issue in this investigation are solar energy panels and components thereof (337-TA-811).
The International Trade Commission has determined to rescind in part the limited exclusion order issued in its patent-based investigation of certain silicon microphone packages and products containing the same (337-TA-720) against respondent MEMS Technology Berhad.
The International Trade Administration is announcing the opportunity to request administrative reviews by November 30, 2011 for 25 antidumping orders, four countervailing duty orders, and one suspension agreement for certain countries, products and review periods. Affected items include fresh garlic, paper clips, certain coated paper suitable for high-quality print graphics, etc.
The International Trade Administration has issued the preliminary results of an antidumping duty administrative review on polyethylene terephthalate film, sheet, and strip from China (A-570-924) for four exporters and the China-wide entity. These preliminary results are not in effect, may change in the final results, and could affect the estimated AD cash deposit rate for these companies.
The International Trade Administration is amending the final results for its recently published antidumping duty administrative review of polyethylene retail carrier bags from Thailand (A-549-821) in order to correct several errors in calculations that resulted in the understatement of the AD cash deposit rate for Landblue (Thailand) Co., Ltd. and five other non-selected companies1. The amended rates, which are officially effective November 3, 2011, are expected to be implemented by U.S. Customs and Border Protection soon.
The International Trade Administration has issued the final results of an antidumping duty new shipper review of wooden bedroom furniture from China (A-570-890), which sets a zero AD cash deposit rate for the exporter/producer Dongguan Yujia Furniture Co., Ltd. This rate, which is officially effective November 3, 2011, is expected to be implemented by U.S. Customs and Border Protection soon.
The International Trade Administration has made a preliminary affirmative antidumping determination that certain steel nails from the United Arab Emirates are being, or are likely to be, sold in the U.S. at less than fair value (A-520-804). The ITA found preliminary AD rates of 19.23% to 61.54%, which are officially effective as of November 3, 2011. U.S. Customs is expected to implement these AD cash deposit/bond requirements soon.
The International Trade Administration has made a preliminary affirmative antidumping determination that certain stilbenic optical brightening agents from Taiwan are being, or are likely to be, sold in the U.S. at less than fair value (A-583-848). The ITA found preliminary a AD rate of 12.03%, which is officially effective as of November 3, 2011. U.S. Customs is expected to implement these AD cash deposit/bond requirements soon.
The International Trade Administration has made a preliminary affirmative antidumping determination that certain stilbenic optical brightening agents from China are being, or are likely to be, sold in the U.S. at less than fair value (A-570-972). The ITA found preliminary AD rates from 106.22% to 141.08%, which are officially effective as of November 3, 2011. U.S. Customs is expected to implement these AD cash deposit/bond requirements soon.
