The Commerce Department published notice in the July 29 Federal Register on the following AD/CV duty proceedings (any notices that announce changes to AD/CV duty rates, scope, affected firms or effective dates will be detailed in another ITT article):
The Commerce Department is postponing until Oct. 6 the due date for its preliminary determinations in the antidumping duty investigations on common alloy aluminum sheet from Bahrain, Brazil, Croatia, Egypt, Germany, Greece, India, Indonesia, Italy, South Korea, Oman, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Taiwan and Turkey (A-525-001, A-351-854, A-891-001, A-729-803, A-428-849, A-484-804, A-533-895, A-560- 835, A-475-842, A-580-906, A-523-814, A-485-809, A-801-001, A-856-001, A-791-825, A-469-820, A-583-867, A-489-839), it said. The petitioners that requested the investigations asked for the extension. Commerce may suspend liquidation and require cash deposits of estimated AD duties beginning on the date it publishes its preliminary determination, or 90 days prior if it finds “critical circumstances.” Commerce's preliminary determination in the concurrent CV duty investigations on Bahrain, Brazil, India and Turkey is due Aug. 7, so suspension of liquidation for those countries could come earlier (see 2005180026).
