The Consumer Product Safety Commission has published its provisional settlement agreement with CVS Pharmacy, Inc. in the Federal Register for comment. In the agreement, CPSC staff alleges that the company “knowingly” failed to immediately report that it had sold children’s hooded jackets with drawstrings which later became the subject of a voluntary recall.
The Food and Drug Administration has made available two presentations on the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) -- one provides an overview of the new law, and the other focuses on its import safety provisions, which FDA states are the most groundbreaking shift of the FSMA. Both also list the implemented FSMA provisions.
