The International Trade Administration has issued the preliminary results of an antidumping duty new shipper review of honey from Argentina (A-357-812), which lists a proposed estimated cash deposit rate of zero percent for Enzo Juan Garaventa or Villamora S.A. as the manufacturer/exporter.
The International Trade Commission voted on August 31, 2011 to institute a section 337 patent-based investigation of certain dynamic random access memory (DRAM) and NAND flash memory devices and products containing same(337-TA-803), which are used in personal computers, laptops, servers, USB flash drives, memory cards, solid state drives, MP3 players, mobile phones, digital cameras, and tablets. The investigation is based on a complaint filed by Intellectual Ventures Management LLC; Invention Investment Fund I, L.P.; Invention Investment Fund II, LLC; Intellectual Ventures I LLC; and Intellectual Ventures II LLC, of Bellevue, WA. The complaint alleges violations of section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930 in the importation into the U.S. and sale of these products and requests that the ITC issue an exclusion order and cease and desist orders.

The investigation is based on a complaint filed by Litepanels, Ltd., of the United Kingdom and Litepanels, Inc., of Van Nuys, CA. The complaint alleges violations of section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930 in the importation into the U.S. and sale of these products and requests that the ITC issue an exclusion order.
The International Trade Commission has issued a limited exclusion order and a cease and desist order in its section 337 patent-based investigation of certain birthing simulators and associated systems (337-TA-759).The LEO and C/D orders prohibit the unlicensed importation, sale for importation, sale/advertising within the U.S. after importation, etc. of birthing simulators and associated systems covered by one or more of certain listed claims of patents that are manufactured by or on behalf of Shanghai Honglian and Shanghai Evenk or their affiliate companies, successors, etc.. The bond for entries during the 60-day Presidential review period is set at 100%.

The International Trade Commission announced that a Section 337 patent-based complaint has been filed regarding certain digital photo frames and image display devices and components thereof.
The International Trade Administration has initiated a new shipper review for the antidumping duty order on wooden bedroom furniture from China (A-570-890) at the request of Marvin Furniture (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. The ITA will determine if Marvin, as producer and exporter, is eligible for an estimated AD cash deposit rate other than the China-wide entity rate it currently receives (216.01%).
On August 30, 2011, the International Trade Administration issued a Fact Sheet announcing its preliminary negative countervailing duty determination for bottom mount combination refrigerator-freezers from Korea (C-580-865). As the preliminary determination only found de minimis (less than 1%) countervailable subsidies, there will be no CV cash deposit or bond requirements.
On August 30, 2011, the International Trade Administration issued a Fact Sheet announcing its preliminary affirmative countervailing duty determination for certain steel wheels from China (C-570-974). The preliminary determination found countervailable subsidies ranging from 26.24% to 46.59%. ITA will be instructing U.S. Customs and Border Protection to require CV cash deposits or bonds, at the listed rates, effective on the date this preliminary determination is published in the Federal Register, which is expected soon.
