The International Trade Commission has terminated a Section 337 case on gas spring nailer products and components thereof without issuing any exclusion order (ITC Inv. No. 337-TA-1082), following a motion by complainant Kyocera Senco Industrial Tools. Respondent Koki Holdings America sought further decision-making by the ITC in remand proceedings. However, if Koki were to prevail, the proceeding would amount to a declaratory judgment of noninfringement for Koki, and the ITC said it lacks the authority to proceed.

The Commerce Department is setting new countervailing duty cash deposit requirements for imports of sodium nitrite from India (C-533-909), after finding illegal subsidization of Indian producers in the preliminary determination of its CV duty investigation. Suspension of liquidation and cash deposit requirements will take effect for entries on or after June 21, the date that the preliminary determination is scheduled to be published in the Federal Register.

The Commerce Department published the preliminary results of a countervailing duty administrative review on quartz surface products (C-533-890). This review will be used to set assessments of CV duties on entries from exporters under review entered during the period Oct. 11, 2019, through Dec. 31, 2020.
The Commerce Department issued the final results of its countervailing duty administrative review on multilayered wood flooring from China (C-570-971). The agency set new CV duty cash deposit rates for 68 Chinese producers and exporters. These final results will be used to set final assessments of CV duties on importers for entries between Jan. 1, 2019, and Dec. 31, 2019.
The Commerce Department is set to create a new exemption for rectangular wire from antidumping and countervailing duties on aluminum extrusions from China (A-570-967/C-570-968), it said in a notice announcing the preliminary results of a changed circumstances review. 3M asked for the exemption, and the Aluminum Extrusions Fair Trade Committee, which originally requested AD/CVD on solar products, said it doesn't oppose its creation.
