The Commerce Department has released the preliminary results of its antidumping duty administrative review on hot-rolled steel flat products from South Korea (A-580-883). Rates calculated in this review will be used to set assessment rates for importers of subject merchandise from 14 producers and exporters that was entered Oct. 1, 2020, through Sept. 30, 2021.
Public interest comments are due to the International Trade Commission by Nov. 9 in a case concerning bio-layer interferometers, according to a Federal Register notice (ITC Docket No. 3652).
The Commerce Department announced the opportunity to request administrative reviews by Nov. 30 for producers and exporters subject to 40 antidumping duty orders, 11 countervailing duty orders, and one suspended antidumping duty investigation with November anniversary dates, in a notice released Oct. 31.
The Commerce Department is amending the final results of an antidumping duty administrative review on welded carbon steel standard pipes and tubes (pipe and tube) from India (A-533-502) to align the dumping margin assigned to Garg Tube Export LLP and Garg Tube Limited (collectively, Garg Tube) with results of a court case challenging those final results.
The International Trade Commission has requested public interest comments concerning a Section 337 investigation on imported video surveillance equipment, according to a Nov. 1 Federal Register notice (USITC Inv. No. 337-TA-1281). The request follows Administrative law Judge Bryan Moore's Oct. 24 initial determination, which found respondent Verkada of San Mateo, California, had violated Section 337 by importing certain video security equipment and systems that infringe on three patents held by Motorola and Avigilon. Moore recommended a limited exclusion order directed to certain video security equipment and systems, related software, components thereof, sold for importation by Verkada as well as a cease-and-desist order.
The Commerce Department and the International Trade Commission began five-year sunset reviews of the antidumping duty orders on stainless steel butt-weld pipe fittings from Italy (A-475-828), Malaysia (A-557-809) and the Philippines (A-565-801). It also will consider revoking antidumping and countervailing duty orders on high pressure steel cylinders from China (A-570-977/C-570-978), Commerce said in a notice released Oct. 31.
