The Commerce Department will soon suspend liquidation and impose countervailing duty cash deposit requirements on imports of gas-powered pressure washers from China, it said in a fact sheet issued May 31. Commerce set CVD rates ranging from 11.19% to 206.57% for all Chinese exporters, the agency said as it announced its preliminary determinations in its ongoing CVD investigations. Suspension of liquidation and cash deposit requirements will take effect for entries on or after the date of publication of the preliminary determinations in the Federal Register, which should occur in the coming days.

The International Trade Commission began a Section 337 investigation on imported tourniquets (ITC Inv. No. 337-TA-1364) that could lead to a general exclusion order against all imported blood flow restriction devices with rotatable windlasses, it said in a notice.
The Commerce Department has released the final results of its countervailing duty administrative review on multilayered wood flooring from China (C-570-971). The agency set new CV duty cash deposit rates for 20 Chinese producers and exporters. These final results will be used to set final assessments of CV duties on importers for entries between Jan. 1, 2020, and Dec. 31, 2020.
The Commerce Department has released the preliminary results of its antidumping duty administrative review on magnesia carbon bricks from China (A-570-954). The agency found that 38 companies subject to this administrative review are part of the China-wide entity, with a rate of 236%, because none filed a separate rate application or a separate rate certification. Any changes to cash deposit requirements would take effect upon publication of the final results of this review. Commerce will also use the results of this review to set assessment rates for subject merchandise from these 38 companies entered Sept. 1, 2021, through Aug. 31, 2022.

The Commerce Department issued its final determination in the antidumping duty investigation on freight rail coupler systems from China (A-570-145). Cash deposit rates set in this final determination take effect May 30, the date the final determination is set to be published in the Federal Register.
The Commerce Department found upholstered furniture imported by Amini Innovation was within the scope of the antidumping duty order on wooden bedroom furniture from China, in a scope ruling issued in April. The agency found that even though the furniture was upholstered, it was still "substantially made of wood" as required by the order.
