The Commerce Department will soon suspend liquidation and impose antidumping duty cash deposit requirements on imports of gas-powered pressure washers from Vietnam, it said in a fact sheet issued June 9. Commerce set AD rates at 225.65% for all Vietnamese exporters, the agency said as it announced its preliminary determination in its ongoing AD investigation. Suspension of liquidation and cash deposit requirements will take effect for entries on or after the date of publication of the preliminary determination in the Federal Register, which should occur in the coming days.
The Commerce Department began administrative reviews for certain firms subject to antidumping and countervailing duty orders with April anniversary dates. Producers and exporters subject to any of these administrative reviews on China or Vietnam must submit their separate rate certifications or applications by July 12 to avoid being assigned high China-wide or Vietnam-wide rates.

The International Trade Commission began a formal Section 337 investigation on imported photovoltaic connectors (ITC Inv. No. 337-TA-1365), it said in a Federal Register notice. The Commission decided to begin the investigation after it reviewed a May 5 complaint by Tennessee-based solar and energy storage company Shoals Technologies Group, which alleged that Hikam, a California-based photovoltaic cable company, and Hewtech, a Chinese electronics firm, along with their affiliated companies, have imported photovoltaic connectors for solar panels that infringe on two of Shoals' patents (see 2305090006).

In the final results of this review, Commerce may set assessment rates for subject merchandise from the companies under review entered May 2021 through April 2022.
The Commerce Department has published the preliminary results of a countervailing duty administrative review on large diameter welded pipe from South Korea (C-580-898). In the final results of this review, Commerce will set CVD assessments on entries of subject merchandise from the exporters under review entered during calendar year 2021.
