The Commerce Department will consider whether a South Korean company that produces common alloy aluminum sheet using flat-rolled aluminum from two Chinese companies is circumventing antidumping and countervailing duties on common alloy aluminum sheet from China (A-570-073/C-570-074), the agency said in a notice beginning an anti-circumvention inquiry.

The International Trade Commission ended a Section 337 investigation on imported LED landscape lighting devices (ITC Inv. No. 337-TA-1358) July 6, following a settlement agreement between the two involved parties, it said in a Federal Register notice. The investigation began in April (see 2304130005) after a complaint by Wangs Alliance (WAC Lighting), a New York-based lighting company. The complaint alleged Hinkley Lighting of Ohio had imported lights and fixtures that infringed on three of WAC's patents for lights with adjustable settings and variable beam angles. WAC had asked for a permanent limited exclusion order and a cease and desist order.
The Commerce Department is beginning anti-circumvention inquiries on allegations that alloy steel threaded rod made in the U.S. using Chinese unthreaded pins imported from China is circumventing the antidumping duty and countervailing duty orders on alloy and certain carbon steel threaded rod from China (A-570-104) and carbon and alloy steel threaded rod (C-570-105), respectively, the agency said in a notice.
