Commerce found 15 companies did not demonstrate independence from state control, assigning all 15 the China-wide AD duty rate of 156.87%. Commerce will assess AD duties at this rate on subject merchandise from these 15 companies entered between May 1, 2015, and April 30, 2016. A 156.87% AD duty cash deposit rate for these seven companies takes effect June 14.

The Commerce Department issued the final results of the antidumping duty administrative review on pure magnesium from China (A-570-832) (here). Commerce found both companies under review -- Tianjin Magnesium International, Co., Ltd. (TMI) and Tianjin Magnesium Metal Co., Ltd. (TMM) -- had no shipments of subject merchandise to the U.S. during the period of review. As such, AD cash deposit rates for these two companies will remain at the rates set for each company in the most recently completed proceeding (i.e., the original final determination or a prior administrative review).

Commerce will assess AD duties at this rate on subject merchandise exported by Shandong Rongxin and entered between Dec. 1, 2014, and Nov. 30, 2015. A 114.9% AD duty cash deposit rate takes effect May 30 for subject merchandise exported by Shandong Rongxin.

Commerce found the only exporter under review -- Hangzhou Huachuang Co., Ltd. -- did not demonstrate independence from state control, assigning it the China-wide AD duty rate of 44.3%. Commerce will assess AD duties at this rate on subject merchandise exported by Hangzhou Huachuang and entered between June 1, 2015, and May 31, 2016. A 44.3% AD duty cash deposit rate takes effect May 22 for subject merchandise exported by Hangzhou Huachuang.
