CBP has issued a CSMS message reminding the trade that Phase 3 (nationwide deployment to all remaining ports) of ACE entry summary filing capabilities was to be deployed on June 18, 2009. This is the final deployment for the 39 volunteers that responded to CBP's original request for comments and indication of interest to participate in the entry summary test. Additional entry filers are still scheduled to be permitted to transmit ACE entry summaries beginning on June 29, 2009. ACE is also expected to support type 01 and 11 ACE entry summaries filed through remote location filing (RLF) by June 29, 2009. The State Department has issued an amended Presidential Permit for the international bridge known as ''Anzalduas Bridge'' near McAllen, Texas. The amendment removes an article in the original permit that limited initial operating hours of the bridge to twelve hours per day. With this restriction removed, the Department of Homeland Security's Bureau of Customs and Border Patrol, working with local and Mexican authorities, can set the bridge's hours of operation in accordance with demand and available resources.
