The Commerce Department issued its final determinations in the antidumping duty investigations on cold-rolled steel from Brazil (A-351-843) (here), India (A-533-865) (here), South Korea (A-580-881) (here), Russia (A-821-822) (here) and the UK (A-412-824) (here). The agency made changes to cash deposit requirements for these countries that will take effect for subject merchandise entered on or after July 29.
The Commerce Department announced its final affirmative antidumping and countervailing duty determinations in investigations on cold-rolled steel flat products from Brazil, India, South Korea and Russia, as well as a final affirmative AD duty determination for the United Kingdom, in a July 21 fact sheet (here).

These final results will be used to set final assessments of AD duties on importers for subject merchandise entered Dec. 1, 2013, through Nov. 30, 2014.
The Commerce Department issued the final results of its countervailing duty administrative review on crystalline silicon photovoltaic cells from China (C-570-980) (here). These final results will be used to set final assessments of CV duties on importers for subject merchandise entered in calendar year 2013 from the three companies under review. For entries on or after July 19, Commerce is also setting new CV duty cash deposit rates as follows:
The Commerce Department issued the final results of the antidumping duty administrative review on silicon metal from China (A-570-806) (here). Commerce found both companies under review, Shanghai Jinneng International Trade Co. Ltd. and Shanghai Jinfeng Hardware Plastics Co. Ltd., did not demonstrate independence from state control, assigning the companies the China-wide AD duty rate of 139.49%. Commerce will assess AD duties at this rate on subject merchandise from Shanghai Jinneng or Shanghai Jinfeng entered between June 1, 2014, and May 31, 2015. A 139.49% AD duty cash deposit rate for each of these companies takes effect July 20.
The Commerce Department issued the final results of the antidumping duty administrative review on frozen warmwater shrimp from Thailand (A-549-822) (here). These final results will be used to set final assessments of AD duties on importers for subject merchandise entered Feb. 1, 2014, through Jan. 31, 2015.
The Commerce Department issued the final results of the antidumping duty administrative review on pure magnesium from China (A-570-832) (here). Commerce again found the only respondent, affiliated companies Tianjin Magnesium International, Co., Ltd. and Tianjin Magnesium Metal Co., Ltd. (TMI/TMM), had no shipments of subject merchandise to the U.S. during the period of review. As such, this company's AD cash deposit rate will remain at the zero percent rate set for TMI/TMM in the most recent prior administrative review completed for the company in 2013 (see 13123126).
The Commerce Department issued the final results of the antidumping duty administrative review on diamond sawblades from China (A-570-900) (here). These final results will be used to set final assessments of AD duties on importers for entries from Nov. 1, 2013, through Oct. 31, 2014, exported by the approximately 50 companies under review.
The Commerce Department issued the final results of the antidumping duty administrative review on furfuryl alcohol from China (A-570-835) (here). Commerce found Qingdao WenKem Co., Ltd. did not demonstrate independence from state control, assigning the company the China-wide AD duty rate of 45.27%. Commerce will assess AD duties at this rate on subject merchandise from Qingdao WenKem entered between June 1, 2014, and May 31, 2015. A 45.27% AD duty cash deposit rate for Qingdao WenKem takes effect June 8.
The Commerce Department issued the final results of its countervailing duty administrative review on multilayered wood flooring from China (C-570-971) (here). The agency calculated new CV duty cash deposit rates for 108 Chinese producers and exporters. These final results will be used to set final assessments of CV duties on importers for entries between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31, 2013.
