The Commerce Department issued a notice to correct rates listed in a recent countervailing duty order on pentafluoroethane (R-125) from China (C-570-138) (see 2203020063). The March 3 order, issued at the same time as the antidumping duty order on R-125, incorrectly listed the applicable CV duty rates for the companies covered by the order, "due to a typographical error," the agency said March 8.
The Commerce Department is issuing antidumping and countervailing duty orders on collated pentafluoroethane (R-125) from China (A-570-137/C-570-138). The orders, set for publication March 3, set permanent antidumping and countervailing duties, which will remain in place unless revoked by Commerce in a sunset or changed circumstances review. Commerce will now begin conducting annual administrative reviews, if requested, to determine final assessments of AD/CVD on importers and make changes to cash deposit rates.
The Commerce Department issued antidumping and countervailing duty orders on large diameter welded carbon and alloy steel line pipe from India (A-533-881/C-533-882). Originating from AD/CV duty orders on all forms of large diameter welded pipe, the orders come with a revised scope due to an International Trade Commission determination that only Indian line pipe injures U.S. industry, and not structural or stainless steel pipe.
The Commerce Department issued a countervailing duty order on large diameter welded carbon and alloy steel structural pipe from China (C-570-078). Originating from AD/CV duty orders on all forms of large diameter welded pipe, the orders come with a revised scope due to an International Trade Commission determination that only illegally subsidized Chinese structural line pipe injures U.S. industry, and not line or stainless steel pipe.
The Commerce Department issued an antidumping duty order on large diameter welded carbon and alloy steel line and structural pipe from China (A-570-077). The U.S. and China are edging closer to a negotiated settlement in a high-profile solar dispute years in the making, but the details of an agreement and expected industry reception remain largely unclear, industry attorneys said in recent interviews. The Chinese government on Aug. 15 told the Commerce Department it is “interested” in an agreement that would suspend the U.S. antidumping investigation currently underway. Commerce Department officials preliminarily determined in late July Chinese and Taiwanese exporters dumped crystalline silicon photovoltaic (PV) products into the U.S. market (see 14073011). Commerce is scheduled to make a final determination in December.
The Commerce Department issued antidumping duty orders on prestressed concrete steel rail tie wire from Mexico (A-201-843) and China (A-570-990). The order details a "gap period" of June 11-22 of no AD duty liability due to the expiration of the "provisional measures" period.
