Clear Terms

Search Primer

Term list: Separate terms with spaces, not commas or semicolons.

Multi-word term: Place inside quotes to ensure an exact match (e.g. "China import").

Acronyms: Use all capital letters to ensure the search is not looking for that letter sequence instead.

Required term: If a term must be included in any resulting articles, prefix it with a plus sign (e.g., +CBP).

Excluded term: If a term should be excluded from any articles being found, prefix it with a minus sign (e.g., -ruling).

Singular form: Always use the singular form when doing multi-word terms (e.g. "russian export control" instead of "russian export controls").

Shortest word form: When you have different word forms in a quoted (multi-word) term, you want to only include the shortest version if it is the last part of the expression (e.g., "entity list" instead of "entity listing" or "entity listed").

Importer Drops Bid to Take Part in Appeal After Not Filing Notice to Appeal

Importer Worldwide Distribution dropped its bid to participate in an appeal of an antidumping duty review after failing to file a notice of appeal. The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit had asked the company whether it sought to take part in the case as an appellant, and, if so, what the court's jurisdiction is over such an appeal (Sahamitr Pressure Container v. U.S., Fed. Cir. # 24-2043).

Thailand Steel Propane Cylinders: Prelim Results of AD Admin Review

The Commerce Department has published the preliminary results of its antidumping duty administrative review of steel propane cylinders from Thailand (A-549-839). The agency calculated an AD rate of 3.18% for Sahamitr Pressure Container Plc. Any changes to Sahamitr's cash deposit rate would take effect on the publication date of the final results of this review. Once Commerce issues its final results, the agency will assess AD at importer-specific rates for entries of subject merchandise from Sahamitr entered Aug. 1, 2022, through July 31, 2023, it said.
