Clear Terms

Search Primer

Term list: Separate terms with spaces, not commas or semicolons.

Multi-word term: Place inside quotes to ensure an exact match (e.g. "China import").

Acronyms: Use all capital letters to ensure the search is not looking for that letter sequence instead.

Required term: If a term must be included in any resulting articles, prefix it with a plus sign (e.g., +CBP).

Excluded term: If a term should be excluded from any articles being found, prefix it with a minus sign (e.g., -ruling).

Singular form: Always use the singular form when doing multi-word terms (e.g. "russian export control" instead of "russian export controls").

Shortest word form: When you have different word forms in a quoted (multi-word) term, you want to only include the shortest version if it is the last part of the expression (e.g., "entity list" instead of "entity listing" or "entity listed").

Commerce Agrees to Reinstate Vietnamese Solar Cell Exporter in Certification Program

The Commerce Department agreed to remove a prohibition on Red Sun Energy Long An Co. that had blocked the exporter from using the agency's exclusion certification process to enter its solar cells duty-free from Vietnam. The parties filed a stipulation for judgment with the Court of International Trade on Nov. 1, ending Red Sun's challenge to Commerce's anti-circumvention finding on solar cells from Cambodia, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam (Red Sun Energy Long An Co. v. United States, CIT # 23-00229).

The Commerce Department and the International Trade Commission began five-year sunset reviews of the antidumping duty and countervailing orders on aluminum wire and cable from China (A-570-095/C-570-096); carbon and alloy steel threaded rod from China (A-570-104/C-570-105) and India (A-533-887/C-533-888); vertical metal file cabinets from China (A-570-110/C-570-111); and welded stainless steel pressure pipe from China (A-570-930/C-570-931). It also will consider revoking the antidumping duty orders on acetone from Belgium (A-423-814), South Korea (A-580-899), Singapore (A-559-808), South Africa (A-791-824) and Spain (A-469-819); carbon and alloy steel threaded rod from Taiwan (A-583-865) and Thailand (A-549-840); malleable iron pipe fittings from China (A-570-881); mattresses from China (A-570-092); steel nails from China (A-570-909); and welded stainless steel pressure pipe from Malaysia (A-557-815), Thailand (A-549-830) and Vietnam (A-552-816), Commerce said in a notice released Nov. 1.

China Renews Antidumping Duties on Ethanolamine From US, Others

China will extend antidumping measures for another five years on ethanolamine imported from the U.S., Saudi Arabia, Malaysia and Thailand, the country’s commerce ministry said Oct. 29, according to an unofficial translation. The duties, extended as of Oct. 30, range from 10.1% to 97.1%, including rates of 76.0% to 97.1% for U.S. companies. China said ethanolamine has a range of uses, including in pharmaceuticals and as gas treatment agents.
