Both aggregate and detail ACE Cargo Exam Reports only contain data through fiscal year 2009 (through September 30, 2009), according to a U.S. Customs and Border Protection CSMS message.
The Transportation Security Administration has sent a request for renewal of an information collection on air cargo security requirements to the Office of Management and Budget. The information collection is made up of five categories: security programs, security threat assessments (STA), known shipper data via the Known Shipper Management System (KSMS), cargo screening reporting, and evidence of compliance recordkeeping. The Department of Homeland Security has recently released its fiscal year 2011 budget request, which contains specific funding requests for U.S. Customs and Border Protection automation modernization, including funding for the Automated Commercial Environment, International Trade Data System, and Automated Commercial System.
CBP has issued a CSMS message stating that it is aware that issues exist with Cargo Exam Reports and ES Compliance Reports. This is due in part to transitioning from one system to another. CBP is working on identifying new sources of data for the impacted reports. Aggregate and detail Cargo Exam Reports only contain data through CBP fiscal year 2009. These issues will impact the ES Compliance Reports as well as the importer and filer Discrepancy Quick View Reports. CBP has issued a CSMS message stating that ABI filers of ACE type 01 and type 03 entries with a single transaction bond (STB) shall email a scanned copy of the STB to ACE_STB@cbp.dhs.gov for the Revenue Division, Office of Administration (OA). These scanned copies must be in a TIF format.

CBP has issued a CSMS message stating that the Ports of JFK and New York/Newark experienced inclement weather on Friday, February 26, 2010. Therefore, a snow day has been granted to all filers in these ports for that day. The Ports of JFK and New York/Newark are extending to all filers one additional day without penalty for late-filed entry summaries or payment of duties that were due on February 26th. CBP has posted an updated version (version 2.0) of its ACE Entry Summary Instructions document, which provides guidance to ACE users on what entry summary information to provide in ACE. CBP also posted an updated version (version 2.1) of its Business Rules and Process Document, which outlines entry summary processing in ACE. CBP previously issued a CSMS message stating that these documents were revised to coincide with the deployment of ESAR III (also referred to as ESAR A2.3.1a).
U.S. Customs and Border Protection has issued a notice stating that as part of the ongoing efforts to centralize all continuous bond processing, effective March 1, 2010, all continuous bond applications (regardless of activity code) should be submitted directly to the Revenue Division for processing.
