U.S. Customs and Border Protection has issued a CSMS message announcing that it has posted revised ACE ABI CATAIR chapters and documents for the next Entry Summary, Accounts and Revenue (ESAR) release, which is scheduled for spring 2011, and contains Post Summary Correction (PSC) and related functionality.

CBP has posted a presentation providing a general overview of e-Manifest: Truck filing including laws and regulations, filing options, shipment release types and information on the Trade Act enforcement plan and exceptions, in-bond shipments and the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA).

The Government Accountability Office has released its biennial update to its list of federal programs and operations at "high risk" for waste, fraud, abuse, and mismanagement or needing broad-based transformation. A total of 30 programs and operations are on GAO's 2011 list, including federal food safety oversight, freight rail, and EPA's toxic chemicals assessment.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s $11.8 billion budget request for fiscal year 2012 would cut Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) funding in half but focus funds on certain important ACE functionality such as cargo release.
