The International Trade Administration is giving advance notice that it and the International Trade Commission will consider revoking the antidumping duty orders on silicon metal from China (A-570-806) and stainless steel butt-weld pipe fittings from Italy (A-475-828), Malaysia (A-557-809), and the Philippines (A-565-801) in their automatic five year sunset reviews of these orders, which are scheduled to be initiated in November 2011.
The International Trade Commission has announced that it will be reviewing a number of issues regarding the Administrative Law Judge's finding that there was no infringement of certain patent claims held by Flashpoint Technology, Inc. by the importation, sale for importation, or sale within the U.S. after importation of certain electronic imaging devices (Android & WP7 smartphones) of High Tech Computer Corp. of Taiwan and HTC America Inc.(337-TA-726). Licensed Motorola and licensed Apple smartphones are also involved.

The International Trade Administration is announcing the opportunity to request administrative reviews by October 31, 2011 for certain antidumping and countervailing duty orders and suspension agreements for the identified countries, products and review periods. Affected items include certain steel wire rod, plastic tape, wire garment hangers, roasted in-shell pistachios, etc.
The International Trade Administration has initiated new shipper reviews for the antidumping duty order on certain frozen fish fillets from Vietnam (A-552-801) at the request of An Phu Seafood Corporation, GODACO Seafood Joint Stock Company, and DOCIFISH Corporation. The ITA will determine whether each company, as producer and exporter, are eligible for an estimated AD cash deposit rate other than the Vietnam-wide entity rate they currently receive ($2.11 per kilogram).
The International Trade Administration has issued the final results of its changed circumstances review of the AD duty order on certain lined paper products from China (A-570-091).The ITA is revoking the AD duty order with respect to FiveStar® Advance™ notebooks and notebook organizers without polyvinyl chloride (PVC) coatings. This revocation, which is officially effective September 30, 2011, is expected to be implemented by U.S. Customs and Border Protection soon. The ITA states it is taking this action due to domestic producer request and the fact that no objections to this intended action were received.

On September 27, 2011, the International Trade Commission issued a limited exclusion order in its section 337 patent-based investigation of certain radio control hobby transmitters and receivers and products containing same (337-TA-763). The limited exclusion order prohibits the unlicensed entry of these items that infringe one or more of certain specified patent claims, copyrights, or marks and that are manufactured abroad or imported by or on behalf of Koko Technology Ltd. of China or Cyclone Toy & Hobby of China (or any of their affiliated companies, parents, subsidiaries, licensees, contractors, other related business entities, successors or assigns).
