The International Trade Commission is asking for comments by about May 9, 2012, on a patent complaint filed on behalf of Boart Longyear Company and Longyear TM, Inc. which alleges violations of Section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930 in the importation into the U.S., the sale for importation, and the sale within the U.S. after importation of certain drill bits and products containing the same (D/N 2893). ITC is asking for comments on any public interest issues that might affect ITC consideration, including whether the issuance of an exclusion order and/or cease and desist order would impact the public interest.
The International Trade Commission instituted a formal enforcement proceeding relating to a consent order that resulted from a patent investigation into certain incremental dental positioning adjustment appliances and methods of producing same (337-TA-562) that was instituted in February 2006 based on a complaint filed by Align Technology, Inc. of Santa Clara, CA (now San Jose, CA).
The International Trade Administration is giving advance notice that it and the International Trade Commission will consider revoking the antidumping duty order on solid agricultural grade ammonium nitrate from Ukraine (A-823-810) in their automatic five year sunset review of this order, which is scheduled to be initiated in June 2012.

The International Trade Administration is announcing the opportunity to request administrative reviews by May 31, 2012, for producers and exporters subject to 28 antidumping orders and 5 countervailing duty orders with May anniversary dates. Affected products include ball bearings, stainless steel plate in coils, citric acid, etc.

The International Trade Administration initiated administrative reviews for certain firms subject to antidumping or countervailing duty orders with March anniversary dates. The ITA has also received a request to revoke in part one antidumping order for two exporters. The ITA intends to issue the final results of these reviews no later than March 31, 2013.
The International Trade Commission voted to institute an investigation of certain cameras and mobile devices, related software and firmware, and components thereof and products containing the same (337-TA-842). The products at issue in this investigation are certain cameras and mobile devices with software and firmware that can be used to combine portions of individual captured images to give a sense of depth to the images.
The International Trade Commission voted to institute an investigation of certain computer and computer peripheral devices and components thereof and products containing same (337-TA-841). The products at issue in this investigation are laptop and desktop computers and computer peripheral devices such as media card readers and printers.
