The International Trade Administration published notices in the June 4, 2012 Federal Register on the following AD/CV proceedings (any notices that announce changes to AD/CV duty rates, the scope, affected firms, or effective dates will be detailed in another ITT article):

The International Trade Administration issued the preliminary results of the administrative review of the cantidumping duty order on narrow woven ribbons with woven selvedge from Taiwan (A-583-844) for one company, Hubschercorp. The ITA said Hubschercorp declined to participate in this review, and was consequently assigned an adverse facts available (AFA) rate. These AD rates are not in effect. The ITA may modify them in the final results of this review and change the estimated AD cash deposit rate for this company.

The International Trade Administration issued the preliminary results of its administrative reviews of the antidumping duty orders on ball bearings and parts thereof from France (A-427-801), Germany (A-428-801, and Italy (A-475-801) for 32 companies, all of which were preliminarily assigned zero rates. These preliminary results are not in effect. The ITA may modify them in the final results of this review and change the estimated AD cash deposit rate for this company.

The International Trade Administration made a preliminary affirmative determination that countervailable subsidies are being provided to producers and exporters of steel wire garment hangers from Vietnam (C-552-813). The ITA found preliminary CV rates of 11.03% to 21.25%, which are effective June 1, 2012. U.S. Customs is expected to implement these CV cash deposit requirements soon. Pursuant to the ITA's October 2011 final rule, no bond will be accepted in lieu of a cash deposit.

The International Trade Commission is publishing notices in the June 1, 2012, Federal Register on the following AD/CV injury, Section 337 patent, and other trade proceedings (any notices that warrant a more detailed summary will appear in another ITT article):

The International Trade Commission issued a correction to its May 30 request for comments on the patent complaint, filed on behalf of FlashPoint Technology, Inc., regarding certain electronic imaging devices (D/N 2898). Comments on any public interest issues that might affect ITC consideration, including whether the issuance of a exclusion order and/or cease and desist order would impact the public interest, are now due by June 12, 2012. The ITC’s corrected list of respondents is as follows:

The International Trade Commission voted to institute an investigation of certain products containing interactive program guide and parental control technology (337-TA-845). The products at issue in this investigation are televisions, media players, and software applications that include interactive programs guides or parental control technology in a specified format.

According to the International Trade Commission, a section 337 patent complaint on certain integrated circuit packages provided with multiple heat-conducting paths and products containing same was filed on behalf of Industrial Technology Research Institute and ITRI International on May 31, 2012. The proposed respondents are:

The International Trade Administration is giving advance notice that it and the International Trade Commission will consider revoking certain antidumping and countervailing duty orders in their automatic five year sunset reviews, which are scheduled to be initiated in July 2012. The ITA and ITC will consider revoking the following AD/CV orders:

The International Trade Administration published its quarterly list of (i) completed antidumping and countervailing duty scope rulings and anticircumvention determinations; and (ii) pending scope inquiries and anticircumvention rulings.
