Clear Terms

Search Primer

Term list: Separate terms with spaces, not commas or semicolons.

Multi-word term: Place inside quotes to ensure an exact match (e.g. "China import").

Acronyms: Use all capital letters to ensure the search is not looking for that letter sequence instead.

Required term: If a term must be included in any resulting articles, prefix it with a plus sign (e.g., +CBP).

Excluded term: If a term should be excluded from any articles being found, prefix it with a minus sign (e.g., -ruling).

Singular form: Always use the singular form when doing multi-word terms (e.g. "russian export control" instead of "russian export controls").

Shortest word form: When you have different word forms in a quoted (multi-word) term, you want to only include the shortest version if it is the last part of the expression (e.g., "entity list" instead of "entity listing" or "entity listed").

ITA Changes AD/CV Rates from Investigation for 4 Chinese Products to Implement WTO 'Double Counting' Ruling

Antidumping and countervailing duty rates may change for Chinese exporters of merchandise subject to four AD/CV orders as a result of an International Trade Administration Section 129 proceeding to implement a World Trade Organization ruling on double counting, according to a Federal Register notice set for publication Aug. 30. The determination affects the investigation AD/CV rates for Chinese exporters of merchandise subject to the AD and CV duty orders on (1) certain new pneumatic off-the-road tires from China (A-570-912 / C-570-913); (2) circular welded carbon quality steel pipe from China (A-570-910 / C-570-911); (3) laminated woven sacks from China (A-570-916 / C-570-917); and (4) light-walled rectangular pipe and tube from China (A-570-914 / C-570-915). The revised AD/CV rates are prospective, and only apply if the ITA hasn’t assigned new AD/CV rates in administrative reviews to these companies.

China Wooden Bedroom Furniture: Final Results of AD Admin Review

The International Trade Administration issued the final results of its administrative review of the antidumping duty order on wooden bedroom furniture from China (A-570-890). The ITA reconsidered its preliminary results, and rescinded this review for the only separate-rate respondent, Tube-Smith.1 The ITA assigned the China-wide entity an AD rate of 216.01%. This rate, which is effective Aug. 27, is expected to be implemented by CBP soon.
