On February 1, 2011, Senator Portman (R), along with Senate colleagues, sent a letter to Secretary of Commerce Locke urging the Commerce Department to enforce existing trade law on the books in order to protect the domestic candle industry from unfair competition.
The International Trade Administration has issued the preliminary results of the administrative review of the antidumping duty order on citric acid and certain citrate salts from Canada (A-122-853) covering the period November 20, 2008 through May 19, 2009, and May 29, 2009 through April 30, 20101. The International Trade Administration is revoking the antidumping duty orders on forged stainless steel flanges from India and Taiwan (A-533-809 and A-583-821), pursuant to the final results of its five-year sunset reviews.
The International Trade Administration has made a final affirmative antidumping duty determination that polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) from Taiwan is being, or is likely to be, sold in the U.S. at less than fair value (A-583-841).
The International Trade Commission is terminating the Section 337 patent-based investigation of certain printing and imaging devices and components thereof, i.e. multifunction printers (Inv. No. 337-TA-690), with a finding of no violation. The investigation was based on a complaint filed by Ricoh Company, Ltd., Ricoh Americas Corporation, and Ricoh Electronics, Inc. against Oki Data Corporation and Oki Data Americas, Inc.
