Virginia Lawmaker Proposes Ban on Live-Streaming While Driving

Under a bill introduced this week by Delegate Joshua Cole (D), Virginians live-streaming while driving could face license suspension and fines of up to $500 if involved in an accident. HB-320 would prohibit initiating, taking part in or viewing any live-stream while driving.

Meanwhile, Kentucky's SB-28, introduced last week by Sen. Jimmy Higdon (R), would bar drivers in the state from holding mobile electronic devices; reading, composing or sending texts or emails; and watching video or games, or making video calls. The bill was referred Monday to the state Senate Transportation Committee.
