MetComm.Net Seeks Reimbursement for E-rate Expenditures From Government

MetComm.Net is suing the federal government in the U.S. Court of Federal Claims seeking reimbursement for price-discounted IT services it provided to schools under the E-rate program. The complaint cited more than $1.5 million in services that MetComm.Net provided to dozens of schools.

For 20 years, the government “consistently reimbursed Plaintiff for the discounts on prices for IT services and equipment sought by the Government and provided to schools,” MetComm.Net said in its complaint, filed Tuesday. Then, in July 2021, the government started “to deny or rescind reimbursement for the substantial costs Plaintiff had already incurred at the urging of the Government” and sought to rescind other payments from as long ago as 2014, the company said.
