It also extended reply comment dates for affected proceedings and ruled that the FCC should be considered closed until Tuesday for the purpose of statutory deadlines. In addition, the notice extended any grants of special temporary authority that would have expired between Oct. 1 and Dec. 5 until Dec. 5; extended the deadline for some fee payments; and said transaction shot clocks paused by the shutdown restarted Nov. 13.
Specific filing categories that the notice extended further include equal employment opportunity filings (now due Nov. 24), quarterly issue reports (now due Dec. 1), Universal Licensing System applications (now due Dec. 5) and 911 reliability certifications (now due Dec. 12). It announced new comment and reply dates for several proceedings as well: Comments on both the disaster information report system modernization item and the Part 90 signal boosters NPRM are now due Nov.18, replies Dec. 18. The FCC also extended deadlines for some next-generation 911 requests, test lab recognitions and tower construction notifications.
The Media Bureau will release further guidance on the deadlines for filings in the FCC’s license management system, the notice added. The LMS has been offline during the shutdown and will be available Tuesday.
