- CBP reminded the trade that it will host a deployment support call on Wednesday, Nov. 5, at 2 p.m. ET on the process for applying for a new ACE Portal top account with Importer sub-account view (here).
- On Oct. 23, CBP intercepted a shipment of 26 counterfeit luxury watches at an express consignment facility near the Chicago International Airport, the agency said in a Nov. 4 release. The shipment, which was from China and was bound for a residence in Chicago, consisted of 26 watches and two bracelets bearing counterfeit marks: six Richard Mille watches; eight Audemars Piguet watches; four Diesel watches; eight G-Shock watches; and two Rolex bracelets. Had the articles been genuine, they would have had a combined manufacturer’s suggested retail price of over $8.5 million. CBP said these goods are usually sold in underground outlets and on third party e-commerce websites (here).
- On Oct. 28, CBP officers in Louisville seized two shipments arriving from Hong Kong that contained 53 counterfeit watches that would have been worth $6.6 million had the goods been genuine, CBP said Nov. 3. The shipments, bound for residences in Union City, Georgia, and Doral, Florida, included counterfeit versions of the Richard Mille, Rolex, Hublot, Cartier, Swarovski, G-Shock and Patek Philippe trademarks (here).
