CBP Issues Reminder About Deadline for DIS Filing Option Ahead of EEM Mandate

CBP this week again reminded industry about an upcoming deadline to continue submitting certain documents through the Document Imaging System as it tries to push operators to participate in its Electronic Export Manifest pilot (see 2509260020). DIS will continue accepting submissions of “Form 1302A ​​Cargo Declaration -- Outbound With Commercial Form” until Dec. 1, CBP said, along with supplemental Form CBP 168 or any associated documents that make up the outbound cargo manifest. The deadline previously was Oct. 1, after multiple prior extensions (see 2403180066).

Those in the EEM pilot should complete their testing and fully transition, while carriers and vessel agents that aren't yet in the pilot need to transition off the DIS system by Dec. 1, CBP said.
