ITC Ends Investigation on Asus, Acer and Dell Computers After Finding No Section 337 Violation
The International Trade Commission has ended a Section 337 investigation on imported computing devices (ITC Inv. No. 337-TA-1389), it said in a May 2 Federal Register notice. Complainant X1 Discovery initially alleged in January 2024 that Asus, Acer and Dell desktop and laptop computers copy its technologies (see 2401250041).

In February, the presiding administrative law judge issued an initial determination finding no violation because the complainant had failed to satisfy the technical prong of the patent and failed to show infringement.
The ITC then voted on April 28 not to review the ID and to terminate the investigation based on the finding of no violation.
