ITC Begins Section 337 Investigation on Urinary Splash Guards

The International Trade Commission is beginning a Section 337 investigation on urinary splash guards (ITC Inv. No. 337-TA-1430) after receiving allegations filed by For Kids By Parents Inc. that 10 Chinese companies are importing products that infringe its patents, the agency said in a Jan. 6 news release.

In a complaint filed in December (see 2412110030), For Kids by Parents said the Chinese companies are importing products that infringe the patent on "the P-flector product [which] is used to protect a person's clothing and the floor from splash back around bathroom toilets." The ITC will consider a general exclusion order and cease and desist orders against the respondents.
