The notice followed an Oct. 30 complaint by Samsung Display Co. alleging Chinese manufacturer BOE Technology Group and its subsidiaries misappropriated Samsung's trade secrets and unfairly imported organic LED displays designed with those secrets.
Samsung said its secrets were related to the "numerous challenges affecting display quality, durability, lifetime, and/or yield problems affecting the ability to manufacture OLED displays at commercial scale." Samsung asked the ITC for a permanent limited exclusion order and cease and desist orders against BOE and its affiliates.
