ITC Seeks Comments in Potential Section 337 Investigation on Imported Routers

Public interest comments are due to the International Trade Commission by April 17 in a potential Section 337 investigation on wireless routers and similar devices, it said in a Federal Register notice.

The request follows an April 3 complaint by Netgear, seeking a limited exclusion order barring entry of wireless routers, networking devices, mesh network devices, and components manufactured or imported by Chinese company TP-Link. The complaint alleges that TP-Link has infringed on six of Netgear's patents covering multi-band spectrum allocation and dedicated backhaul systems for home wireless internet coverage.
