He said more connectivity via 5G, fiber deployments and broadband satellites can support more efficient electrical grids and manufacturing processes, smart cities that have cars idling less and better farming practices. But more data sent means more energy consumed, and there should be more focus on better efficiency, he said: "More bits per second for each watt used."
