CBP to Deploy Phase 3 ACE Portal Modernization Through February
CBP will “gradually deploy” a series of changes to the ACE Portal from December 2022 through February 2023 as part of phase 3 of its portal modernization scheme, it said on a new webpage detailing the changes. “Phase 3 changes will include updates to the References tab and the migration of other functionality from the legacy ACE Portal to the modernized platform,” CBP said.

In phase 3, CBP will add new document upload and management tools, as well as tools for importers to create and cancel blanket declarations, the agency said. CBP also will add an “edit" functionality for account information for all account types, and will begin allowing carriers with type 2 bonds to be able to authorize additional users to obligate the bond, CBP said. Other changes will include user access management for account owners and other applicable users and the granting of cross-account access, CBP said.
“CBP will alert users of the specific deployment dates for the following changes in advance to ensure that users have sufficient time to prepare to use the migrated functionality in the modernized ACE Portal,” it said.
