Bell Asks ITC for Limited Exclusion Order on Semiconductors in Section 337 Complaint

Public interest comments regarding a possible Section 337 investigation on imported electronics are due to the International Trade Commission by Oct. 28, it said in a notice to be published in the Oct. 20 Federal Register (ITC Docket No. 3649).

The notice follows an Oct. 13 complaint by Bell Semiconductor that alleged that 15 named respondents have infringed on one of Bell's semiconductor circuit design patents by importing chips and various electronic devices containing the infringing chips, including audio signal processors and wireless transceivers. Bell asked the ITC to issue a limited exclusion order against the individual respondents as well as cease and desist orders.
