Daedalus Files Section 337 Complaint Over Imported Auto Parts

Comments are due to the International Trade Commission by Sept. 7 as the commission decides whether to initiate an investigation on imported automobiles and parts, according to a notice in the Federal Register (Docket No. 3637).

The notice follows an Aug. 23 complaint filed by Daedalus Prime alleging that 18 respondents (listed below), including Mazda and Mercedes, are importing semiconductors, printed circuit boards, automotive parts including infotainment systems and instrument clusters, and automobiles that infringe of six of Daedalus' patents. The patents cover multicored processors and systems for performance and power balancing. Daedalus seeks a limited exclusion order and cease and desist orders.
