ITC Issues Limited Exclusion Order on Wood-Pellet Grills

The International Trade Commission issued a Section 337 limited exclusion order on infringing cloud-connected wood-pellet grills and components thereof imported by or on behalf of respondent GMG Products, said a notice released May 17.

The case (ITC Inv. No. 337-TA-1237) followed a November 2020 complaint by Traeger Pellet Grills LLC (see 2012300061) alleging that GMG was importing wood-pellet grills that infringed on two patents held by Traeger. The patents relate to remote control of cloud-connected outdoor appliances and related mobile device connectivity.
