UK Adds 26, Amends 30 Entries Under Russian Sanctions List, Corrects 1 Belarusian Entry

The U.K.'s Office of Financial Sanctions Implementation added 26 entries to its Russia sanctions regime and amended another 30 in yet another sanctions move against Russia following its invasion of Ukraine. The listed individuals include military officials, businessmen and relatives of listed individuals, such as Oleg Belozyorov, chief executive of Russian Railways; Nikolay Bodanovsky, a Russian army officer; Igor Korotchenko, chairman of the Russian Defense Ministry Public Council; and Boris Obnosov, executive at Tactical Missiles Corp.

The newly added entities are the Aleksandrov Scientific Research Technological Institute NITI, Central Research Institute of Machine Building, Federal State Unitary Enterprise Dukhov Automatics Research Institute, Arzamas Machine-Building Plant, GTLK, Kalashnikov Concern, Military Industrial Co., Promtech-Dubna, Radiotechnical and Information Systems Concern, and Rocket and Space Centre Progress.

In a separate notice, OFSI corrected the entry for Lidzia Mihailauna Yarmoshina, the chairperson of Belarus' Central Electoral Commission. OFSI said she was responsible for holding a fraudulent election in Belarus and blocking participation of rival candidates.
