In a complaint filed in November, Corning Optical Communications LLC said Panduit continues to import and sell merchandise that infringes its patents. The general exclusion order and cease and desist orders bar Panduit and other companies from importing or selling high-density fiber optic equipment that copies Corning's patented EDGE products, which permit a greater density of fiber-optic connections in an industry-standard rack space than any prior equipment. The ITC may seek penalties if it finds violations of the general exclusion and cease and desist orders.
