trade community participants in the test have begun a set of meetings to discuss the results and make a recommendation on how to proceed, with the comment process set to wrap up by Oct. 19, said Vincent Annunziato, acting director of CBP’s Business Transformation and Innovation Division. One thing discussions will focus on is whether blockchain technology is useful in the trade environment and, before getting into the evaluation phase, “I think we can say that it was successful and it does look like something that we should be able to do going forward,” Catano said.
