China Wooden Bedroom Furniture: Final Results of AD Admin Review
The Commerce Department issued the final results of the antidumping duty administrative review on wooden bedroom furniture from China (A-570-890). Commerce found four companies -- Decca Furniture Ltd.; Changshu HTC Import & Export Co., Ltd.; Starwood Industries Ltd.; and U-Rich Furniture (Zhangzhou) Co., Ltd./U-Rich Furniture Ltd. -- did not demonstrate independence from state control, assigning them the China-wide AD duty rate of 216.01%. Commerce will assess AD duties at this rate on subject merchandise from Decca, Changshu HTC, Starwood and U-Rich entered between Jan. 1, 2016, and Dec. 31, 2016. A 216.01% AD duty cash deposit rate for these four companies takes effect for each company on Feb. 14.

Commerce also found another eight companies did not have any bona fide shipments to the U.S. during the period of review, so their AD duty rates will not change. These eight companies and company groupings are: Dongguan Sunrise Furniture Co., Taicang Sunrise Wood Industry, Co., Ltd., Shanghai Sunrise Furniture Co., Ltd., and Fairmont Designs; Dongguan Sunrise Furniture Co., Taicang Sunrise Wood Industry, Co., Ltd., Taicang Fairmont Designs Furniture Co., Ltd., and Meizhou Sunrise Furniture Co., Ltd.; Eurosa (Kunshan) Co., Ltd., and Eurosa Furniture Co., (PTE) Ltd.; Golden Well International (HK) Limited and Zhangzhou Xym Furniture Product Co., Ltd.; RiZhao Sanmu Woodworking Co., Ltd.; Shenyang Shining Dongxing Furniture Co., Ltd.; Woodworth Wooden Industries (Dong Guan) Co., Ltd.; and Yeh Brothers World Trade Inc. Any entries under their case numbers during the period Jan. 1, 2016, through Dec. 31, 2016, will be assessed AD duties at the 216.01% China-wide rate.
Additionally, for any other exporters of subject merchandise that were not under review (i.e., all exporters of subject merchandise except the companies listed above), cash deposit rates will also remain at the level set in the most recent review of each respective company. For companies that have never been assigned a cash deposit rate by Commerce, the China-wide rate applies.
(The review period is 01/01/16 - 12/31/16. See Commerce's notice for more information, including the scope of the order, detailed cash deposit and assessment instructions, etc. See 1710100017 for a summary of the preliminary results of this administrative review.)
