ACE Statements Deployment Set for Weekend, Filers Should Avoid Warehouse Entries, NCBFAA Says

CBP will deploy statement capabilities in ACE over the Jan. 6 weekend, making ACE the “system of record for all statements with the exception of Reconciliation statements,” said the National Customs Brokers & Forwarders in an emailed reminder. “CBP will work with filers to address any issues related to this deployment of Statements in ACE, and will provide support as necessary,” hosting a series of calls starting on Jan. 7 at 1 p.m. and then continuing daily Jan. 8 through Jan. 12 at 2 p.m. (call in number 877-336-1828, access code 6124214). CBP recently posted its updated cutover plan for the ACE statements deployment (see 1712180042). Reconciliation statements will be rolled alongside the broader deployment of reconciliation itself in February (see 1712180042).

Filers should avoid submitting warehouse entries with a statement date that coincides with the deployment, said the NCBFAA on an earlier email sent Jan. 4. Filers should not schedule “any warehouse entries (type 21) to appear on the statement” on Jan. 8, with any entries scheduled currently for that date moved up to Jan. 5 or back to Jan. 9, provided the latter doesn’t exceed the 10-day window, the NCBFAA said. Statements received after the Jan. 6 deployment should be audited for accuracy, including preliminary and final monthly statements received from CBP later in January, the NCBFAA said. CBP made the last updates for warehouse entry statements on Jan. 4 in anticipation of the weekend deployment, the NCBFAA said.
