China Wooden Bedroom Furniture: Final Results of AD Admin Review
The Commerce Department issued the final results of the antidumping duty administrative review on wooden bedroom furniture from China (A-570-890) (here). Commerce found seven companies did not demonstrate independence from state control, assigning all seven the China-wide AD duty rate of 216.01%. Commerce will assess AD duties at this rate on subject merchandise from these seven companies entered between Jan. 1, 2015, and Dec. 31, 2015. A 216.01% AD duty cash deposit rate for these seven companies takes effect Feb. 15.

The seven companies Commerce is assigning to the China-wide entity are as follows: Dongguan Singways Furniture Co., Ltd.; Clearwise Co., Ltd.; Passwell Corporation/Pleasant Wave Ltd.; Shanghai JianPu Export & Import Co., Ltd.; Decca Furniture Ltd.; Hangzhou Cadman Trading Co., Ltd., for merchandise it exports that is produced by Haining Changbei Furniture Co., Ltd.; and Nantong Wangzhuang Furniture Co., Ltd.
Commerce also found 11 companies did not have any shipments to the U.S. during the period of review, so these companies' AD duty rates are unchanged. Any entries under their case numbers in calendar year 2015 will be assessed AD duties at the 216.01% China-wide rate. These 11 companies are as follows: Dongguan Sunrise Furniture Co., Ltd./Taicang Sunrise Wood Industry Co., Ltd./Taicang Fairmount Designs Furniture Co., Ltd./Meizhou Sunrise Furniture Co., Ltd.; Eurosa (Kunshan) Co., Ltd./Eurosa Furniture Co., (Pte) Ltd.; Golden Well International (HK) Ltd.; Jiangsu Tairui Structure Engineering Co., Ltd.; Nanhai Jiantai Woodwork Co., Ltd., Fortune Glory Industrial Ltd. Ltd.); Rizhao Sanmu Woodworking Co., Ltd.; Shenyang Shining Dongxing Furniture Co., Ltd.; Wanvog Furniture (Kunshan) Co., Ltd.; Woodworth Wooden Industries (Dong Guan) Co., Ltd.; Yeh Brothers World Trade Inc.; and Zhejiang Tianyi Scientific & Educational Equipment Co., Ltd.
Additionally, for any other exporters of subject merchandise that were not under review (i.e., all exporters of subject merchandise except the 18 companies listed above), cash deposit rates will also remain at the level set in the most recent review of each respective company. For companies that have never been assigned a cash deposit rate by Commerce, the China-wide rate applies.
(The review period is 01/01/15 --12/31/15. See Commerce's notice for more information, including the scope of the order, detailed cash deposit and assessment instructions, etc. See 1610070016 for a summary of the preliminary results of this administrative review.)
