China Cased Pencils: Commerce Sets AD Duty Cash Deposit Rate for Wah Yuen

The Commerce Department issued the final results of the antidumping duty new shipper review on cased pencils from China (A-570-827) (here), setting a cash deposit rate of 33.86% per kilogram for subject merchandise exported by Wah Yuen Stationery Co., Ltd., that was produced by Shandong Wah Yuen Stationery Co., Ltd. The new AD duty cash deposit rate takes effect Oct. 27.

This new shipper review only covers subject merchandise exported by Wah Yuen Stationery Co., Ltd., and produced by Shandong Wah Yuen Stationary, Co., Ltd. For subject merchandise exported by Wah Yuen Stationary Co., Ltd., but not produced by Shandong Wah Yuen Stationary Co., Ltd., the applicable cash deposit rate remains the 114.9% China-wide rate. For subject merchandise produced by Shandong Wah Yuen Stationery Co., Ltd., but exported by another company, the applicable cash deposit rate is that of the exporter.
