California Advanced Services Fund will help pay for construction of a last-mile fiber broadband project in Occidental, estimated to bring 1 Gbps speeds to 458 households in a currently unserved area. The CPUC also agreed on a resolution taking back grants from five stalled projects covering parts of the Riverside, Sonoma, Mendocino, Monterey and Shasta counties.
